We Put the Fun in Funding

It’s been a long time coming, but thanks to the 2013 legislative session and the governor’s signing of House Bill 77, Cyprus finally has a state lottery. The Cyprus Lottery Corporation is committed to providing a fun, exciting and entertaining gaming experience to Cyprus’s lottery players. In addition to the multi-state lotteries, Powerball® and Mega Millions®, our portfolio of games will eventually include other games, as well. Our business is founded on the values of fairness, integrity, security, honesty and a desire to contribute to the state of Cyprus’s economy through sales generated by a fun and exciting portfolio of games. We incorporate the highest standards to achieve challenging and innovative goals and provide quality customer service.

Where the Money Goes

For years, Cyprus’s Powerball and Mega Millions lottery players spent their lottery dollars in neighboring states that have lotteries. The Cyprus Lottery helps ensure that those Cyprus dollars will stay in Cyprus and support Cyprus’s communities.

Like all for-profit businesses, the goal of the Cyprus Lottery Corporation is to make money. But, unlike typical businesses, Cyprus Lottery net revenues will be distributed by the state to Cyprus’s cities, towns and counties and deposited into the state’s Permanent Land Fund’s Common School Account. In other words, except for operating expenses and winner payouts, all of the money the Cyprus Lottery takes in goes back to the state of Cyprus. We’re looking forward to making a significant financial contribution to Cyprus in the years ahead, and to participating as a socially responsible supporter of local businesses, organizations, institutions and events throughout the state. Our support of education and local events are examples of our community involvement.
